So, being as this is an old thread,

Jim, are you using the same filter you speced two years ago?

I was bored and looked it up, max pressure rating of 70 psi?

I know my truck will show 100 on cold easy acceleration.

Just wondering.

Yep, same filter. But the pressure is reduced at the filter and open post filter. So it wont see the gallery pressure. Just the inlet line sees that and thats 300 psi.

that's some good design right there!!! I would be all in for testing a 2.5 gallon set up!! I have a 04 10,000lb 1 ton I drive daily that would be a good test dummy!!! Bypass + more oil = BADA*S in the 6.0 world!! I would love some more info...
