Yes since the factory appearing rules are met for work stock then you can bump up to 2.6. Btw a good 2.6 truck can beat any factory appearing 6.4 in w/s trim. By a "good 2.6" truck I mean ts or scheid, weight hanging, gutted, air to water......like say the dirty hooker.
