Tech would take too long and be a nightmare. I agree that a true stock class would be cool for guys who are just starting out but how many true stock trucks are there?

So will this 2.5 class move all duramax trucks to that class?
no the ws class will be no hanging weights, no stiff knees and not a big purse so they will have no reason to cheat in that class.

alright enough of the bitchin... I want to see the results from all the classes
i promise to get them up 2day.

How do you tech a all stock class? Dpf must be in tact?
no long as its stock turbo with stock wheel/housing there fine.

Visually tech the top 5/paying spots - then if that isnt good enough someone else can protest and pay to have the truck tore down for tech.

we usually tell people b4 they hook to be prepared to take intake off, if they refuse then they dont pull for $. since i'm taking charge of our pulling acc. this year i will make sure they have plenty of time to take them off if they wana pull. that goes for every class.

That is pretty much how most of the work stock classes are around here. No hanging weight stiff knees and stuff.

The way we did it up in ct was stock turbo billet wheels allowed Injectors what ever u wanna push with the stock turbo water meth allowed atleast 1" clearance for the suspension and no hanging weights... I spent the last two days building a weight rack for this event before I drove down bc we don't hang in ws up there lol... Mine is set up as above except I hung weight and i dont have water meth... I finished like 9th or 10th I think and that's a 6.0 with a program... The dodge behind me the big red one said he usually does really well in ws and his turbo is stock... And our purse is usually 75 50 and 25 respectfully

I think that this is making way too many classes just so a few can have their own. Not many spectators care to watch a true stock class. The work stock appearing class is good enough, then 2.6 and 3.0. You guys gotta remember we don't put these pulls on for the truck pullers pleasure, its there to make a good showing event that will keep the crowds interest. I can tell you that from running pulls around here the worst thing you can do to kill a crowds enthusiasm is throw three small different stock class variations out there. Nobody wants to go watch true stock, then work stock, then 2.5. Personally if that was the case, then I would be at the beer tent waiting for the big trucks to pull!

True point... We're all getting caught up in ourselves that we forget that this is a spectator sport also and it's what the crowd wants without a crowd we dont get to compete... Look at the stands at drag racing events... Half the people leave during the real, true stret and stockish classes and come to watch the top fuel... I would love to see a 3.0 class... Never seen anything that big I don't think... And what I was reading in the rules I think y'all run by on straightdiesel.com if someone calls out to tech someone they have to pay until the truck is proven to be cheating...

Theres no way. You can make it stock appearing 66mm. Unfortunately, a stock appearing 7.3 will always have a hard time competing. Wanna fix that? Max a mechanically injected class and a commonrail class. You'll get spanked by hot modded hx40 12v trucks.

Theres no happy medium, and everyone needs to accept it. You will never make anyone happy, and when you start trying to detune a class, you'll lose alot of your customers with newer trucks.

So then we need to get rid of work stock appearing class with all the cheeta turbos and this and that and make it a 2.5 class and be done. Then turbos can be equal and then if you cant run with the class then you need to choose a different engine platform to make the power needed.
