Visually tech the top 5/paying spots - then if that isnt good enough someone else can protest and pay to have the truck tore down for tech.

:whs: Winning!

Seriously, dunno how it is over there, but it's hard to find qualified tech people where we're at.

I had a guy here open the hood and stare for several seconds before announcing that he'd "just realized I still had a 7.3 in my ferd!"

So, in the minutes after the pull, before the checks and trophies get handed out, it's alot easier for a couple dudes that know what they're doing to tech the paying positions, vs the entire field.

So then we need to get rid of work stock appearing class with all the cheeta turbos and this and that and make it a 2.5 class and be done. Then turbos can be equal and then if you cant run with the class then you need to choose a different engine platform to make the power needed.

If your gonna change engine platforms anyways go buy a 6.4 and pull workstock. There's no need to go to a 2.5 class and not make it competitive for a 7.3. If you wanna make your obs run the put a superduty pedestal and pipes on it and run a 38r with an intercooler. Your still not gonna be a top dog anywhere. Cut that 7.3 back down from the 66mm to a 2.5 and it will really run like ****. I don't know of anywhere that's gonna stop an obs from running a superduty setup. Its still stock location, stock style for a 7.3 not aftermarket.

These are all nothing new for 7.3 guys, you could have a stock appearing rotary pumped 12v and it wont make 400hp. The older truck just cannot compete with the commonrails. Just like everyone else it takes money, time and the most current technology to compete in any motorsports.

You dont understand, you still wont compete with an OBS ford. Danville can make 700+ on a 2.5 Charger. You can kick me out with your 2.5 rule, and I'll have my buddy Cole bring down his LMM Regular cab and rape every truck in your 2.5 Class.

Some people just don't like being creative with stock appearing stuff. For them the is the 2.6 class. Why make a baby class that serves the same purpose as 2.6. Its just a class for people who don't wanna have any turbo disadvantages and all the rules like a 2.6, but don't wanna spend money for 2.6 trucks.

Please tell me what I can do to a OBS turbo to make it stock appearing and flow as much as or more then a 38r or tow powers or cheeta?

Great comparisons. LOL

Its not getting worked up, its facts

Theres been guys here bitching for over a year about what you guys are just now getting to. Sled pulling may just be a little more intense up here.

You will never make the non 2.6 class trucks happy, it just wont happen, work stock is the closest medium, go to a 2.5, your crippling the fords again.

Then again, I'm almost waiting for a chance to make a wild low pressure 2.5 charger.. lol

"Stock Appearing" A turbocharger utilizing a compressor and turbine housing that originally came from the factory. And must be located in the factory position, utilizing the stock mounts.

We use the "Stock Appearing" rule for the work stock because:

1 The duramax guys do not want to take their intakes off. This requires coolant lines, etc to be removed.

2 It takes too damn long to disassemble each truck and measure.

3 Elimnates bitching and promotes the aftermarket.

I look at it like this. If you got your ass spanked, man up and build your ****. We have a very competitive work stock class. Out of the 10-12 pulls Jared hit up here this year he may have won 3?
Last year he had not won a single pull up here. Loaded up, drove to NC and won 2.6 and WS.

In the Midwest truck pulling is just more advanced. It's serious competition. I have a few buddies with duramaxes I help and they beat Jared, Alot. Lol

It's too bad he upset some people, but you will have that. Build this winter and come back. FYI, Brent's 6.0 puts the hurt on Jared's truck. And this was before I live tuned it a week ago and squeezed another 90hp and 200lb ft out of it. Sorry Jared.. Hahaha
This is probaly the only time I will ever agree with you. Problem is they got the rules confused so the guys bitching, be it lame, do have the written rule to back their story up.

This event was hosted by rudy's diesel performance. I guess everyone bitching about the rules are missing that point. This event is not supposed to be your regular monthly pull at whatever your local track is. Its a performance show. You are not supposed to see a 7.3 win. We have pulls for years where fords are no competion. Then you go to an event hosted by a ford performance shop and you expect the rules to change to keep a ford from wooping other makes...

So how do the rules work letting Jared enter 2.6 ? From my experience here is no matter what you can't run 2.6 class with compounds and a charger bigger than 2.6

Do they let you run because you meet work stock rules?
