After talking with Mike, I honestly say I think this is about a perfect system. I have fuel to spray if on a dyno competition, drivability sounds perfect, basically everything I was hoping for. I just hope I don't get a call from the city of Cheyenne for causing a wreck in front of Haller's shop. LOL

I really think if a guy wanted to make big power with no compromise to driveabilty, this is the way to do it. For you guys that still wanna use it every day, pulling trailers, putting it to work and make good power. The vgt with a big remote mount atmosphere just works awesome. On the lowest setting with 1.1pw it makes 770hp, 1.4pw makes makes 860hp, and 1.8pw makes 990hp. All while keeping boost and bp 1 to 1 or less. And never going over 1400 degrees. Nice part about this setup is its really versatile. You can put what ever atmosphere you want in the fender for the power level you desire.

Those are awesome power numbers! Isn't there more PW left though? Thought race tunes were like 2.3? I'm sure 990 is enough and cooler than going up on PW more, I was just wondering.

It has pros and cons. In my opinion its better. Pros are the atmo isn't in the valley. Makes it easier to work on. Easier to access the injection pump, quicker to pull the intake and so on. The cons are everything in the fender has to move. But it's not that hard relocate everything. And once it's done you never have to worry about it again.

When you get to injectors this size going much over 1.8 to 1.9 will make minimally more power. But doing so will create very excessive smoke and heat. Not worth the trade off in my opinion. If you get to where 1.9 isn't enough you need to step up to a larger injector. That way you can run the smaller pulse but still have more delivery.

Ahh, I gotcha. That makes sense. Do you think it would benefit any more from a bigger nozzle or is this about it?

I think there is more to be had sure. But right now its meeting the end goals that Erik has for the truck. If a guy wanted to make more power I would probably recommend a larger atmosphere charger first along with a larger nozzle. Thats the nice thing about this setup is you could swap the charger out with something of the same frame but larger very quickly.

Does the intake have some sort of a drain in it? Like a hole to let water out.
I like space around it. Not so close to the turbo. Wish I had more room like that but my turbo sits closer to the fender.

The theory works on all trucks. What the exact number is for each platform varies. I've never tuned a 6.0 so I'm not sure where that number is.

That piping looks great. I was going to go with a 91mm but now I am glad I didn't. For me this is all I need, I don't see it changing but at least it is easy to do. 1000hp with all the pressures and temp better than ever before. Works for me
