Looking good. I have seen compounds built with the flex section in the intermediate pipe, and without. Is there a specific reason why you decide to put one in, while others prefer not to?

It makes getting the pipe in much easier, and allows room for flex if need be.

Yes. That flex coupling on the pipe is a 3" ID. The 3.5" ID is 8" long and was too much to work with. So we had to weld the band where the mesh meets the interlock liner before so air would not leak through the mesh once fitted inside the pipe. (Since they are designed to be slip-fit)

What do you guys think of the blow off valve location? The hot side pipe clears the hood by 1/4"

Thanks! I thought it looked pretty sweet there, its angles down too, hard to tell from the photo. I haven't decided what I'm going to do with them. As nice as polished pipes look, the dirt and grime will take a toll on the pipe.

No idea what I'm doing to the pipes yet.

Morgan, I agree. I really like Lance's finish on his compound kit. Took it over the top. I bet I skip the polished pipe on my truck and have them painted. To hard to keep up with otherwise.
