I'm gonna give the ospho a shot. I am thinking the bed is beyond any "cheap" fix. Looks like some major repair or replacement. If I can get the cab going good I may get some estimates from a body shop on the bed or start looking at flats. It's not a daily driver anymore, so a flat would not be... -
Bad fuel mileage 06 6.0
^^^ This. Open highway, driving like a granny, I would get 19 - 20 hand calc. but that was trying to squeeze as much mileage as I could. Most of the time I am on 2 lane highway and in the summer I would get 16 - 16.5 and anywhere from 9 - 13 towing depending on the weight. As of the last year...- msmith

Crappy wood hauler
Instead of a dovetail, you could build a tongue with gussets to make it a tilt. I am just finishing up a 76" X 12' tilt. I bought a hand pump hydraulic ram from Harbor freight for about $50. I set it so that I can stand on the back til it hits the ground and it stays. I can then run my Polaris...- msmith

Turbo Removal Procedure W/ Tips
This is a pretty good video. A good resource for the first timer for sure. I could have used this about a month ago, but I was able to figure out some of your tips through trial. Good job though. Turbo removal tips
No problem getting it off of the drain tube. Used a tire spoon for a pry bar and it popped right up. I put the Y pipe on first then used a pry bar to line the turbo up with the pedestal then put the bolts in. I had to loosen up the exhaust to get the down pipe to line up for some reason. -

Yeah, and when it went back in, it seemed like nothing lined up exactly right. lol -

Good to know you got it going. From your video, it had to be the hubs. Too bad you had to do a shaft too. -
Bent rod?
Not in a 6.0, but in a 7.3. One of our company trucks, an F550, ingested a snoot full of water. Bent two rods. Our mechs replaced one and left one. Evidently it wasn't bent too bad because it made two trips to Florida, one to Louisiana, and one to Texas after that. Had a total of close to 100k...- msmith

Yeah, kinda sorta. This trick actually works for a lot of things. At work, we sometimes tape our phones to an extendo stick, to get serial numbers off of voltage regulators or transformers. -

Need 4X4 help
When you manually lock them in, if they don't lock immediately, they will as soon as the axle turns just a little bit. I had mine out yesterday putting in new o rings. Should have taken some video of how they work.
