    Let's talk lockers

I don't think I'll need one in the front. I'm just looking for a little extra help. My truck has what's left a the factory limited slip. When I first got this truck it still worked pretty good and I'm looking to get that back and maybe even a little more. My dad had an old 70s Ford one ton 2wd...

    Let's talk lockers

I don't know how to make a link, but West Coast Differential website said they have one for ford 10.25 & 10.50 F350 1983 and up. I am going to check up on it some more after the holidays.

    Let's talk lockers

Anybody know about the Auburn Ected locking differentials? On the West Coast Differential website they say they have one that will work. Any thoughts. I was looking into one for my Grand Cherokee awhile ago. Seems like a win-win. Limited slip when off and locker while on.

    Absolutely zero traction

I used tire chains everyday in Montana. Here in Utah I only use them at work or up in the mountains when I'm lion hunting. They are always in my toolbox for sure though.

    Absolutely zero traction

I wasn't saying the tires are too wide. I was just saying that a large contact patch especially with added power is hard to keep hooked up. Weight in the bed will help. I would think that it would take a heck of a lot of Utah snow to add up to any weight at all. The old snowplowers trick of...

    Absolutely zero traction

Wide tires and no weight doesn't help. My experience with BFG ATs is always good in snow. (02 grand Cherokee, 90 Toyota 4x4, 93 f250 rclb)A little less pressure always helps too. My current truck (f350 cclb) has old MTRs that do real well. But I still put some weight between the tailgate and the...

    Serpentine belt replacement

I really wish I had learned the "grab the damn belt and just pull up on it" trick before I had to change mine. I have since been able to use the trick on the four times I've had to swap alternators. Hopefully I won't have use again for awhile.
