112K on mine, most of that towing, 60K of that has been tuned. I'll get a real bad shift flare only when I occasionally want to clean out the pipes. Tried the upgraded solenoid and it didn't fix the problem. I'm not one to beat on my truck so I'm a bit surprised that the tranny hasn't done better/lasted longer. Would love to build a new trans since I've always wanted to run 8500# down the track, but it's just not in the cards right now.

I ran my stock 5r in my 6.0 with 190s and a bigger vgt (forget the size) from 80k and the guy who has it now just broke it with about 140 on the clock...and I ran that thing hard

Well...looking to step it up horsepower wise soon. Will a bone stock 5R last long at 5-550 hp?

The 5r will last quite a while if you dont flog the crap out of it.

Goes back and digs up guys Im not gonna mod it posts:toast:

Thinking 190s..a regulated return...and a Powermax w/ batmowheel...

Well 190's and a powermax wont have you anywhere near 550rwhp, unless you're spraying it... I can't imagine it even breaking 500rwhp but it would probably come closer to that... http://powerstrokearmy.com/forums/showthread.php?t=8345

The stocker should hold up for a while. The gogo direct solenoid would sure help a bunch too.

Tuning is key though, as I'm sure you know.

190's and a Pmax with good tuning will hit 500-520. Not 550 though

I beat the crap out of mine and sprayed it at the track every Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday. LOL Ran 12.5's and the bone stock trans never skipped a beat. Your truck weights more and has bigger wheels/tires so I'd probably put in a direct solenoid and torque converter. Should be good to go then I think.

Can someone have a mod change the title lol

To clarify...I'm gonna do a P-max with a batmowheel, regulated return w/ 6.4 banjos and Fass setup retrofitted with a Fuel Lab pump.

I think you'll be fine for your needs, just take care of the tranny. I beat the snot out of mine in my 6.0 for 4 years and it shifted like a dream when I sold it. I also changed the fluid every year which was about every 10k miles though.

All that and it'll still be this:

544/977 stock fuel system 190 75's vgt ssx on Dunbars. 190s will get you there. Also Kevin Rescuef250 put down 550 with 190 75's and a powermax iirc with a lift pump and RR. What matt said the stocker is pretty stout. Looks like a fun street setup for sure.

Mine took a 600hp pounding for a few years but its kinda hit or miss at those levels.

As far as that combo goes though I'd rethink the injector size for a DD, 190's are to big for a Pmax. Its going to run hot on EGT's and be a smokey bitch of a daily driver. I wouldn't go bigger than 175's with a Pmax. But if your set on 190's you might as well step up to a S366.

my 64/71 cleared up my 185s with 75% nozzles easy. i stepped them up to 205s with 100% nozzles and i can still keep it pretty pretty darn clear. i wouldnt throw a 66 on until 225s. 190s really isnt much fuel at all. you will be fine with 190s. oh and if you want a direct drive solenoid, tell you tuner before you put it in and make sure he doesnt already have the pressure up.

Mine has lasted almost a year with 225/100's.......over 30 passes at the track more than half were nitrous passes and It's daily driven......tuning helps quite a bit.
