my 64/71 cleared up my 185s with 75% nozzles easy. i stepped them up to 205s with 100% nozzles and i can still keep it pretty pretty darn clear. i wouldnt throw a 66 on until 225s. 190s really isnt much fuel at all. you will be fine with 190s. oh and if you want a direct drive solenoid, tell you tuner before you put it in and make sure he doesnt already have the pressure up.

Good input man. Thanks

Well 190's and a powermax wont have you anywhere near 550rwhp, unless you're spraying it... I can't imagine it even breaking 500rwhp but it would probably come closer to that... http://powerstrokearmy.com/forums/showthread.php?t=8345

The stocker should hold up for a while. The gogo direct solenoid would sure help a bunch too.

Tuning is key though, as I'm sure you know.

uhhhhhh....

and 190's are fine for daily driving. under normal driving, my truck does not smoke at all. it hazes pretty decent under moderate throttle, and smokes a ton at WOT...but how often are you at WOT getting groceries? this is with 100% nozzles too. i think we probably drive about the same and this is a perfect (fun) street setup. i wish i didn't have that blowout at the rally so you could have driven it and seen for yourself.

oh and back to the trans.....what matt said about shift pressures reminded me...i had to bump all my shift pressures up by 20% AND put the DD solenoid in to keep from flaring. the increased pressure allows the solenoids to flow more fluid to the clutch pack to help increase the speed/firmness of the shift which is important when you're running higher power levels. the DD solenoid flows even more on my 3-5 shift which is a must for a WOT run...at least on my trans.

I think our driving styles are very similar. That said I've driven a smoky 7.3 (300s and GT42 ) and its not fun as a daily driver.

I have a Tracker and a Jeep that I daily drive. Truck sees the highway 2-3 days a week, but I still want it fully streetable.

I don't think a TC is necessary unless he's racing a bunch. The TC in the 5r is pretty stout. Like said earlier, its the clutch packs that usually go first.

The TC won't help much gare. I put in a precision before my BTS and blew it up in a month. The TC swap is no where as noticeable as when you put one in a 4r.

And not to pick a fight, but per Brian at BTS, he does NOT advise a mag hytech on his trans. Infact he tells you NOT to put one on.

yup I daily drive 190's and an 03 turbo with no smoke at all, unless I stomp it. But I never need to because the driveability with chris b's tuning is outstanding, i can give it 1/8th throttle and be at 50 in no time.

190's are clearly more than fuel than a p-max can clean up. However it can be done with tuning. I'm assuming the tuners are pulling fuel out of the 190's to get a powermax to keep it clean though.

Spot on, Its all in who does the tuning. We have guys running Josh's street tune with a Pmax and 155's/180's/190's with clean street manners. I think its possible, just keep your tuner informed on how you want her to run!

If your pulling fuel out to be able to run 190's then you clearly have more injector then the turbo can handle.

Like I said 175's would be the MAX I would run with a Pmax.

So it's not gonna clean up my 290's? LOL

It's gonna be pretty interesting to see how that works out. :D

I forgot you had one. I can't wait to see vids LOL

They'll probably be pretty short. LOL

Although I was surprised the stock turbo held up just fine to the Procharger AND nitrous with 225's (although it appears the 225's weren't operating correctly) so who knows.
