Can I put my application in for a replacement?
do i need to send in my resume?
"holy mother ****in ****!!!" lol that thing moves pretty good
That statement is not 100% accurate. What Brian says is he does not recommend the increased capacity pans if you do nothing with the cooling system. His claim is that once the fluid gets hot during a hard run the stock system takes too long for the temps to drop back to normal. If you add additional cooling capacity they work well according to Brian. I do not agree with his assessment of the stock system being inadequate on the 5r's as I think his opinion is based on the clearly inadequate 4r cooling system. My 5r has run consistently 10-20* cooler with a Mag pan even when I towed my 15k boat.
And to the original question it's not so much the HP as the transmission tune. I would bet a John Woods tuned trans would handle 550-600hp 2 times as long as some of those other "tuners" trans strategy would handle 450hp.
Just can't find good help these days. LOL
Soooooo true.
Calculator puts my truck at 675 when sprayin with my 225's and stock trans....... Pretty good tuning and its NOT john woods.
so the only reason to do this with 190's instead of a smaller injector would be the potential to add that extra fuel back if wanted with a bigger turbo??
suncoast's dd solenoid absolutly sucks. I've ran both the suncoast and gogo's dd solenoid. Dougs dd solenoid is waaaaay better than the suncoast piece of chit.
Pretty much. My whole point was some guys don't ever plan on going bigger than a p-max yet still put 190's in, it's just too much fuel for a p-max. What is the point of going that large on the injector if you're pulling fuel in every tune to keep it clean anyways? Not aimed at anyone in particular, but we all see this on the boards a lot.
How much spray do you think is needed to clean up a 190/100 with a powermax? That's a lot of fuel for that turbo it seems...
