Here is what I am asking about. If I cannot find something online i will go to a local machine shop to have some made. Just figured it would be cheaper if they're already mass produced.

The updated line from ford is like $30, and has 2 identical ends. What more do you need? We have just the fittings made, but no idea on the price. You might try calling JD or Anthony at the shop for a price if all you need is a fitting.

These would be for the turbo oil drainage. The lower one fits the VGT turbo perfectly. the upper one is the updated drainage tube for the 6.0, I planned on using it for the high pressure turbo, but it is about 1/16" too big. I was hoping I could find a place online that makes them so i could just buy and weld up to my drainage piping.

Went to a local machine shop the other day, they gave me a pretty reasonable price to make all three fittings. Just have to get all of my piping in hand so we have exact size of pipe to machine the fittings to.

For those of you who are following my project closely, and those just who are not, I am going to do the best I can to get the bulk done before oct 18th. On the 18th ill be having shoulder surgery and will not be able to do any heavy lifting/work for 3-5 months. Between my buddies and possibly a hired hand, I'll finish it up in reasonable time. So thanks again to everyone for the support and hopefully I'll have some more updates to come as I start to rush now.

I was reading up on the 6.0 defense motor and looks like it uses what looks like maybe the same actuator off of the 6.4. Its still hydraulic injected. Just wonder if something off it would work.

Matt, I tried to look up some info on the 6.0 defense motor but could not find much. Much less anything about parts. Have a link?

Randy, Chris, & everyone else - have no fear it this project will see completion. I will probably be ordering my intake piping at the end of this week. When that comes in it will be GO time. younger1993 (Morgan) is sending me a 6.4 actuator shortly. During my surgery recovery I plan to work on the actuation setup as much as possible. Then I will get back into the mechanical and fabrication end of things when I am cleared for light lifting and work.

So not pertaining to the 6.4 Turbo's but I wanted to share the new look.

As for turbo project is concerned, I am going for my surgery next week so I need to conserve some cash so I have not ordered IC pipes yet. Younger 1993 (Morgan) sent me a 6.4 Actuator. I have again changed gears with actuation, it seems like my simplest solution is keeping the actuator whole with no modifications to it, and then interpret the voltage signal that the 6.0 spits out into a CAN signal which the 6.4 Actuator reads. :blah: :blah: :blah: Where is the head scratching smiley? Doing this signal conversion seems to be easiest and least expensive, less than my original plan of building my own actuator. In 2-4 weeks I hope to have a video posted of the 6.4 actuator running off my truck, keep an eye out!

Dont want to be a debby down here or anything but if your working on your truck in 2 weeks you should lay off the pain pills a little. When the doctor says you need to chill, you need to listen haha I learned the hard way.

Well I wont be working on the truck so much as sitting on my couch and working on the CAN program to operate the actuator... Between my wife and my busness partner I won't have a chance to push it too far.

Just an update.
Since I haven't had much work prior my surgery, money has been tight. So the project went on hold.

Then came Sandy...

All of my community (all of the small Jersey shore towns) have been obliterated. Depressing devastation surrounds us, however we came out unscathed being only 5 blocks from the beach. This is very sad for all of the families who lost homes due to the major flooding we had, yet may be the best thing that could have happened for me financially.

I am going to get past the rush of work, and then it is back to 6.0.4.

I'm same way in the midwest.. we see a tornado, we hate the devastation, and hope no one is hurt, but as a contractor I see $$$$$

Update...........

I ordered all of my piping today through Chad at Trusted. Next week I will be ordering my electronics for the VGT control. Now that I know my head gasket is bad I will be going balls to the wall just as soon as everything comes in.

Items left are:
Having the oil drain fittings machined
Fabricate turbo pedestal
Install!!!

I am still trying to decide what size injectors to go with. I wish I could add another poll to this thread to see what everyone thinks, any suggestions?
