Well seems like when the cab comes off for new heads I'll be welding some up pipes together and switching my tunes to gearhead. I appreciate the help. I'm not sure of the hills you have in MD, MI or VA but that's the variable I'm blaming my bad experience on. Where I live your either coasting down or climbing a hill. Using my tow/haul button seems to make life a lot easier, if I keep about 2k rpm it's not all that bad.

Where are you from?

2005 F250 6.0 powerstroke, 6 speed manual, egr delete, arp head studs, new oil cooler, aftermarket coolant filter, custom intake, 4" down pipe into dual 6" stacks, 8" lift, TSD super panty dropper tune.

I believe the video said 190/75. I had my camera out to get a video but the batteries died. I personally don't have any issues on flat grades, it's when I'm on the highway cruising 55-60. 5th and 6th locked climbing a hill just lugs down and smokes entirely to much. I don't have a pyro but I'm sure it's scary hot.

lol.. I wouldnt judge your EGTs by smoke and adjectives. Get a pyro asap bro. Gotta have the supporting mods prior to the go fast items, you could be over 1600 and not even know it.

If your only issue is lugging down In 6th just have your tuner bump up the 5-6 and 6-5 shifts. Problem solved.

6th gear? 5r110 is only I 5 speed right?

Nope, It has 6 gears but only uses 5. It goes 1-2-3-5-6 normally. It only uses 4th when it's really cold.

Like Matt said...raise the shift points. For a early lockup tune...I would have lockup at 50mph and OD at 60mph. If it was a late lockup tune...I would have OD at 50mph and lockup at 60mph.

There's no denying the foot to the floor in boost acceleration is VERY similar. But I ran the same time as you on less fuel and it was my 5th pass ever in any vehicle. And I honestly can't do 0-107 every 1320' I drive. I don't have the "proper" fixed geometry turbo setup but with the vgt all I did was bolt it down and drive. On the street the vgt is in my opinion is more fun and easier to drive. But in the end my opinion may be very different than the next guy.

I just think with how the vgt's have evolved you won't really see any advantages to running an s366 vs a 68mm vgt.. I think non-vgt's are for those with larger goals beyond 650hp.

What tune were you running when you made that pass?

You need divided up pipes, I ran that piece of dog **** turbonetics adapter for about 3 hours and pulled it off. Its crazy how much of a difference they make. I couldn't even spool my 66 from a dead stop while holding the brakes with that adapter.
