Side note. This is real cool and awesome to drive. But before getting into this know that it is a real challenge. It is not going to happen over a week. I have been a fabricator my whole life and this is probably the most difficult project I have ever done. If someone asked me to do a swap, I would laugh and kindly decline. I would charge 20k in labor not including any parts.
But I am so happy with it at the same time. Not to discourage, just inform.

Runs 170f with no fan all day any condition. 900f max egt pre-turbo and 20psi boost.
Will dial up fuel this weekend and see how it goes.

Cranked aneriod 1.5 turns and rack travel out 1.5 turns. Made it quite a bit better.
Decided to make a boost fooler and it worked out much better. I simply installed an air regulator on the compressor and ran a line to aneriod. Set the regulator to 30psi and she will get right with it now. I needed a place to dump the air from governor, so I tied it in where the aneriod was on intake. No more hissing noise under hood. Throttle response is very much improved.
Going another 1.5 turns on rack and I think it will be just fine. Try it tomorrow while changing out all cab mounts with new.
The S472 may begin to go on top this week. So far I am pleased with the S360 as a single, but having the 472 will allow a little more fuel and keep the egt good.
Got the max tow gauges installed and pretty happy with them too.

Made the second adjustment a week ago and there was no noticable change. Started planning a modded a-pump or p-pump. The "boost fooler" clearly worked but the rack adjustments did nothing.
Drove the truck to work this week, 400 mile trip. Going down highway at 80-85mph. Would barely hold that speed on hills. While pulling a long grade and holding the throttle against the spring stop...it took off like a rocket and rolled coal. I thought something was wrong. Boost went from 15 up to 30 right now.
Did it a second time so i drove easy until almost to destination. Starting shoving down hard on pedal. It would jump into power just like flipping a chip. If i slam the throttle down it runs like crazy.
Now i can do it on command. Smash pedal and it runs like i want. I assume the metering valve is sticking inside the pump, and letting it go into full fuel setting. I have been running a good bit of lucas fuel treatment and i assume that things are loosing up from sitting in the pump.
I will not need any further fuel. Just to get this pump working correctly. Feels like the 7.3 with hybrids when the metering valve shifts. There is still some black left at 30psi. Hits 1150 egt now.
Time to get the S472 on top and probably will need a gate. I see no reason for larger injectors or any pump work if my assumption is correct and it will loosen up and start working correctly.

I have nothing to tell you about the pump. But for your sake I hope it clears up all the way.

It will outrun my 21 6.7 now. No doubt. Feels almost as strong as my 7.3 did with 238 100%. I guess its making 400 at the rear wheels. Torque is probably 1200ish.
Im very happy.

Actually project manager/superintendent. I still get to weld and fit when I get caught up on meetings and BS.

I'm a pipefitter, always nice to see some slick welds. Could have gotten into management several years ago, but thought I wanted to do some farming instead, lol.
So, I still make welds parttime, and blow the income on the farm!

Nice! That's why I'm shifting into office and out of travel...dad is getting ready to retire. Him and my brother are full time farmers. I am gonna hold on to my job, and farm after work. Will be nice to stay home for once. Been on road 24 years.

Did you see this one I did a couple years ago? It's my holding tank now for compressor on engine. Nice for hay season blowing out radiators etc.
