The lifter that you found came from a pump that someone replaced.

Once you get air into the high pressure oil lines it takes a lot of cranking to get the engine to purge it enough to start. Then if you don't drive it a ways it will still take a while to start.

would the truck sitting on the drive way have anything to do with it? since its sloped

Remove on the of the -5 oring plugs on the oil galley on the head that you just installed - fill that rail with oil - reinstall the plug and it should fire up and run a bit rough until you work all the air out of the system which usually takes 20 miles or so (less if if flog the crap out of it).

What is your fuel pressure??? Did you hook the injectors harness back up to the injectors??
just checking on that one.

Did you weld the cross member back in yet??

i unplugged the wires that goto the injectors but not the plugs or should i unplug the whole setup, and no not yet, waitinng untill i know this runs before i weld, and i have not yet checked the fuel pressure

You are going to have to plug all the injectors back in. These injectors fire from a electronic signal. If the wires are not hooked up you will never get it to start.

well guys she started and sounds fine, thank you to all who helped me get it fixed and who gave me there time to answer any questions i needed,

unplugged the injectors, turned it over, plug them back in and it fired right up, had both batteris on a charger and jumper cables from my 6.0
