Here you go...
Cylinder head bolt first torque is 65 FTLB Second torque is 85 FTLB and the third torque is 95 FTLB.. These are done in steps.. go through do them all the the first torque specs then do them all to the second, then to the third.. Start in the middle of the head and work your way out..

Note: Lightly lubricate the cylinder head bolt threads and flanges with clean engine oil.

Both. Head bolts are a three step torque sequence.
First toque each bolt to 65 ft-lb following the top pattern. Second torque each bolt to 85 ft-lb using the top pattern again. Third torque to 105 ft-lb following the bottom pattern.

No it does not matter really. Just make sure when you do jump back and copy it the same on the other side..

Torque the two middle bolts first, then do the immediate bolts on both sides of the center bolts and just keep working your way out like that.. Make sure you never jump past a bolt as you do it.. it can keep the gasket from squishing right if that happens..

[/COLOR]Diesel Innovations website has a 7.3 information section that shows the proper torqueing sequence and values to use. After the first couple of torqueings there is a different torque sequence used for the final torques. Best if you check that out.

The factory service manual agrees with the information on Diesel Innovations website.

Torque sequence #1 Head bolts numbered from left to right, top to bottom, in order of torque sequence
13 5 4 12
17 9 1 8 16
18 10 2 7 15
14 6 3 11

Torque sequence #1

1 To 65 ft-lb
2 To 85 ft-lb

Change to Torque Sequence #2, head bolts numbered left to right, top to bottom in order of torque sequence.

15 16 17 18
10 11 12 13 14
5 6 7 8 9
1 2 3 4

3 Torque to 105 ft-lbs
If you are using head studs/firerings then torque to final step of 120 ft-lbs.
