Nope stock turbo and $700. Or $1100 and you get a turbo and you can get $400 back if you send yours in. This is at least how he is trying to work it.

do it Trebek......:toast:

Believe me, my curiousity is piqued.

For those running the Stage II -- any surging issues? Lag? Anything at all that you don't like?

And my apologies, but my memory isn't what it used to be. Were these numbers on PCM/ECM tunes only? FICM tunes only? A combination of the two?

First of all there are only like two or three Stage 2 turbos that have ever been built yet and one is the one that made the 485 number here. Matt can correct me if I'm wrong but in the interest of getting the info out as soon as possible, the answer is No. The stage 2 with stock injectors didnt exhibit anything suspect and was completely a drop in and go turbo.
Yes these numbers were with both ECM/PCM and FICM tunes.

The Stage 2 turbo comprises of a GT4088 compressor end on a GT37 series turbine end and therefore requires a complete GT4088 turbo because Garrett wont sell anything but the complete turbo.

so stage 2 would be 1500 plus a stock turbo and adrian will take care of getting the 4088?

Very Nice! You are showing what they are capable of. I understand that dyno results can be questioned and manipulated. I think that the same can be said for track times. If you have a manual transmission you will never get the times that your setup is capable of. Rear Wheel Drive trucks will have issues getting power to the ground. I, personally, think that they both have their place and you can take what you want from the results. I personally an very interested in Torque numbers and the powerband/curve as I drive my truck and use it as a truck.

That's why you use trap speed. Even with bad launches or sloppy shifting your trap speed is gonna be pretty close every time. But like I said, I'd just like to see it 1) as a back up to the dyno and 2) because I just want to know what they'll do on the track. I'm sure we'll see soon enough since it's racing season.

I wanted to make sure it was going to happen ,but I have a little something in the works. Not on stock fuel injectors, but Bill from PHP will be running the MAD turbo Werks stage 2,on his race truck with 175 stock nozzles,at the TS diesel nationals at Bowling Green KY this Friday. He will be getting dyno numbers and then go race.I also plan on being there,I'll be wearing the MAD Turbo Werks T-shirt Ford blue with white lettering. If anyone from here is out there let me know. Thanks:redspotdance:

I understand, but it's less of a concern for me. I like seeing what the curve and powerband look like and what to expect pulling a load down the road. Everything has its place and importance, which for me is low end power.
