Anybody ever use a hobby(110v) welder on these frames?? Jason said he's gonna try to weld it up with some flux core wire. Im thinking a little more juice would be good but he said he wants to see how it fills the gaps first

He's supposed to be welding it up Friday so if everything goes smooth  it should be done a week or two after that I'd imagine.

Thats a SMAW machine not a FCAW/GMAW machine. I would think you would need a 220V machine to get what your looking for. To ensure good penetration I would use backing, weld it up flush, grind it smooth then cut off the backing and back grind the weld root and weld it from the other side. FCAW is really good in the Flat and Horizontial Positions and beyond that it takes some skill to do it in the other postions. How thick is the frame? Flux Core should only really be used on thicker materials. Might be better off just Mig'in it.
