Thats a super good idea. Will be doing that on the new ones. No I didn't. :lame: I did however crank it over with the wiring on top of the drivers valve cover disconnected though. Not good enough?
How to remove air before firing truck...
Install injectors (just lube them with some damn 15-40 for crying out loud)...
TQ to spec...
Button everything back up...
Turn the key to the run pos... wait until the fuel pump turns off. Do this 4-5 times or until you have steady fuel pressure (assuming you have a gauge...)
Next... Crank the damn truck... The injectors will not even try to fire until there is 500psi of ICP pressure, so there not dry firing or anything that will damage the damn injector.
For crying out loud.
theres no reason to do that.. leave everything plugged in and just cycle 6 times, with 15 seconds of rest inbetween key ons, this will let any air rise..
this time, clean the injectors bores out. I use BG carbon cleaner on a rag and a screwdriver. make sure they are dry as a bone and spotless... lube the new o-rings, install like I said to, recheck their depth with a straight edge...
I installed Riff Raff regulated return and thought that would take care of any air that might get near the nozzles.:redspotdance::redspotdance:
Your nozzles were fine unless there was something wrong with them in the build. Nothing you did or could have done would damage the nozzle at that point.
And someone please tell me where this "hung nozzle" crap came from... Are we driving CR truck now or what?
