our 71/59 and 73/59 both work great on stock fuel and added fuel setups. they have worked flawlessly and quite a big power gain on my truck as well as customers. We can also break these down into atmo chargers or just the VGT if youre interested.

Im seriously considering a barder 73/59 setup. What yall think???

I have always good things about Barder and the 73/59 in terms of size is probably an excellent choice in regards to making good power without a lot of lag. The 3 people I know who are running the 73 have been very happy with it. Personally, I think it awesome that we have so many good choices.

JrStroker I appreciate the feedback. I'm pushing the limits of Stock bolts and need to make a decision quickly. My appointment is set for Jan 17th. Installing studs, dr.Diesel intake, 6.0 manifolds and up pipes along with 72 or 76 mil low pressure. Still in air which one to get. Love the sound of the 76. But the 72 fits the application better

we did then one at a time on my truck the first time. when we pulled the heads to do pistons found out the gaskets we're not so hot. I advise to not do that. it's nice to pull the heads off and check for cracks too.

Per funds allowing, the consensus for srock fuel seem to go something like this (key word something lol) :

- high powers
- high power jrs
- RCD 75/59
- 72/59 RCD, elite
- 73/59
- 71/59 Elite, RCD, industrial and others
---------------
- then probably the same rough order for just adding an Atmo -20/40 hp less keeping factory vgt.

A rcd 72 would perform better than a barder73?? Is that what the consensus is?(I say consensus because no one has real results), and I know this topic is best to death and every turbo probably performs close to the same.
I'm about to buy a 73 but can't find any specs on it. I know turbine sizingn may make one or the other better.

What's the specs for the 73?

If no one else has any results I'll have track times with the 73 within the month probably.

Personally, I don't think you can assume the RCD's or Elite's 72 will perform better than the Barder 73. I know a few locals with Barders of various sizes that are really happy with them and 3Broncforce (Phil) and Sootie seem to love their Barder 73s. Hopefully they can chime in. I plan to run a Barder 59 on mine eventually. I am by no means knocking RCD's turbos....its just I have just been really impressed with Barders so I don't think it is safe to assume the RCD or Elites is better. In the end, like you said, probably no one knows for sure which is "better".

I vote single 66 as the overall "most fun" and "most hp" on stock fuel.

Say what you want they still make more power than any stock housing compounds. Driveability, towing, they take second place. Fun, no comparison.

Barder turbines are the same as stock. Only change is comp wheel size. I like my barder no doubt but if I were to do it again I would go with a single. Maybe I will when that guy^ gets a s400 kit developed.

Honestly if I didn't tow heavy every now and then and make killer money from that, I would go single and never look back. But I do, and it's making it tough for me to go that route.

And I was trying to figure out the specs cause I can't find the turbo listed anywhere. on rcd or elites site I can see the turbine housing, and learn a lot more about it. Like the 75 I can read that it has a 77mm turbine or whatever size.
All I have info wise for the 73 is that peolle like it. Lol. Not that that isn't enough but you get what I'm saying.
