Yeah keeping a direct clutch alive on a 5r isn't easy.

oh really ? mine are fine at 1000+ and virtually instant spool.

yeah for sure, not to mention the 6 speed issues, but there may be a drastic change in 6.7 trans tuning soon, that will help alot. the biggest difference i see is , with a 6.4 no matter what you're still driving a 10 or earlier. oh my, how things have changed in 5 years. 6.7 at 600 is still slower thru the traps than a tuned 6.4 , but IMO the 6.7 has more power between the gears than a tune only and much cleaner and much more responsive. pretty sure from a dig my truck will wax a tuned 6.4, but in a 1/4 mile i would lose .
Well I've killed 3. Stock trans at 600hp with a retard behind the wheel though.

Extra clutches help lol

and better ones. my stock 5R held 700 no problem and ran 12.30 @ 110 .
I went 12.9 once and killed it.

what combo? a CCSB @ sea level will do 12.7-8x over and over on a hot tune and a good CAI on stockish tires
that sucks. i went 8.1 and 12.8 a bunch of times .

6.0 bud.

5R in the 6.0 doesn't hold a candle to the 6.4.
yes, I realize it's essentially the same trans, but they seem to hold up to a LOT more in the 6.4's
I had a 6.4 trans in my 6.0 and it lasted 2 weeks. Keep in mind my torque number is probably only like 900 lol
